2 swirlies
Her: “To my parents, Christians may as well be Satan.”
Him: “Mine too! We have so much in common.”Another person succumbs the mysterious conspiracy that involves everyone over the age of 21.
This episode lays down a lot of exposition. There’s a pretty good reveal/twist at the end that perhaps we saw coming, but still gave the episode a nice capper.
Still, not very much happens in this episode, so I’m afraid even though I’m such a huge Steve Anthopoulos fan, I can only give it 2 swirlies. Maybe the next one will pick up?

“When did you first learn that Santa Clause wasn’t real?”
My favourite Australian web series maker!
In searching for videos, I came across this one which made me realize I haven’t posted about Tea, Biscuits and Incest, Steve Anthopoulos’ other webseries. Which is sort of criminal.
So I thought I would give this one a try. It’s low rez, I guess because it was uploaded in 2008.
It’s a fun start. Just the right mix of tension and humour. For something like this, that’s a tough balance to make, but I think this works.
You can tell it is low budget (number one because it is a web series!) but I think the camera work, directing and acting is pretty good. The pacing is nice – it moves along without feeling rushed.
And for it’s length of all of 3:57, it does a good job of setting and getting us into the cliffhanger ending – there’s a conspiracy. Even though we knew that going in, it still has a punch when the moment comes.
I’ll grab the next one soon and we can watch it together! In the meantime, I wonder what Spaceboy Productions has been doing since 2008?
