Oh Brother Ep.3 “Mind over Matter Part 1″ | A Web Series on the Watch List
Episode Three: Josiah gets hit in the head and loses his memory so Seth and Krystal take advantage of his disoriented state of mind.

“Boy, don’t talk to me like I’m one of them girls on BET.”
This is the second last episode in this fun little web series. For all it’s production flaws and cliche sitcom plots… it works for me.
There’s some funny bits in this series - and in this episode - about twin brothers who have been reunited. And even though the plot - someone gets hit on the head and can’t remember who they are - has been done to death in so many bad sitcoms, there’s a nice, simple little story here.
I feel like I’m apologizing for liking this web series. You know what? It made me laugh - and there’s plenty of much more professionally done web series that I don’t particular think are funny. And this is the first small steps of someone who wants to make a career out of this kind of stuff. I dunno, I admire that. Sure, it is easy to put your videos on YouTube, but this guy’s got something. I mean the level of this show is the level that many people work hard to rise to. This is where this guy is starting out at, and I think he’s gonna go far if he keep making stuff.
Each time you do it, you get a little bit better.

Oh Brother Ep.2 “Friday the 13th”
Episode Two: Krystal makes such a big deal about it being Friday The 13th. Josiah performs some experiments in order to shed light on Krystal’s belief in superstitions. However, those experiments turn out to backfire on Josiah.

“I’ll miss you. Wait. No I won’t.”
There’s still some charm here, but the jokes in this episode are kinda obvious. The smart brother tries to disprove bad luck. Guess how it turns out?
There’s one funny political-esque joke about FEMA, but other than that I liked the first one much better.
What I did notice is that his episodes got 20,000 views since being posted in October. Almost all of the views came before the end of November. 20,000 views in a month? Those are fairly impressive numbers. How did he get those views in that time period, with only four videos?

Oh Brother Ep.1 “Double Trouble”
Episode One:
Seth moves back in with his mother and twin brother after 10 years only to find a new addition and slight changes made to the family.2 Swirlies
“Look at you with your big, fancy words and your… not big, fancy words. I’m actually aware of stupid I am now.”
Okay, I wasn’t sure I was going to post this series. The production of it is clearly of the point and shoot handy cam variety, and you can see the image pulse as the auto-focus tries to do its job. But there’s a charm here and some funny – if a little forced – jokes. The button on the end of the cat litter joke took me by surprise and made me laugh.
Twin brothers live together again after years of being split between their divorced parents. One a super nerd, the other a cool dumb guy. They are, of course, played by the same guy.
Is it the best show ever made? Far from it. But it does show a little promise, and the set up works. The concept would probably make a fine family movie or a CBS sitcom. I’ll watch more and see where they go from here.
