It’s a little late today, but here’s your Friday installment of Red Carpet Run.
If this is your first time watching this show, it is a game show about Hollywood and celebrity trivia. The final round is a speed round where the contestent must answer questions while running on a treadmill that keeps speeding up.
This is one of the rougher episodes I’ve seen. Either it is Koldcast’s not-so-great player, or the episode had a few really short, abrupt shots. (I can’t tell if it is put together in editing or if they go live to tape through a video switcher.)
But other than that… this is one fun web series. I think it is still the only game show web series out there.
Enjoy! Happy Friday!

It’s a Long Weekend where I happen to be, so I’m not sure how many people will be checking in from work. But I still thought I would post a Red Carpet Run episode to help celebrate the end of the week.
Think you know something about Hollywood trivia? This one’s a tough one, with cinema related questions about the year 2003, geography and drinking.
Enjoy!

I got one the contestants didn’t! Granted the category was movies and TV shows that had “Star” in the title, so I has an advantage right there. Although the one I got wasn’t a science fiction movie. So I’m essentially awesome.
This is your weekend dose of Red Carpet Run. Turn off the work brain and turn on the Hollywood trivia brain.

So much fun!I haven’t posted a Red Carpet Run in a while, and I thought I’d check one out. This one’s really exciting, even if, like me, you don’t know any of the celebrity trivia. Will reigning champ Jonathan keep his streak alive? All I’ll say is, The Sudden Fame Round is a nail biter.
Check out Red Carpet Run, and see how you rate as a celebrity trivia hound!

It’s a web series. It’s a game show. Stop, you’re both right.
Not much to say about a game that I didn’t say in my post on the first episode, beyond the fact that the series is still fun and well done.
Can you beat the contestants to the buzzer?

We’ve never done reality or game shows here before (partially because I don’t watch reality shows and there’s not any other web series game shows that I’m aware of) but I got called out for not posting this show here so I figured I’d give it a shot. Let’s jump into episode one…
This web series game show is all entertainment trivia. It’s kinda amazing how quickly it moves along. It makes half hour TV game shows feel like they are needlessly dragging it out. The trivia is fun, and the show is well produced and just as slick as any broadcast game show.
The real fun part is the last sequence – The Red Carpet Run. The contestant must answer questions on a theme, in this case about the Wizard of Oz, while running on a treadmill! And with each question, the speed of the treadmill gets cranked up.
As with any game show, the questions get harder as you go along. I liked the Wizard of Oz trivia, even though if that was me on the treadmill, I would not have done anywhere near so well.
While this is the first episode, they’ve finished their first season and are looking to do a second. Not only did I enjoy watching it, I think having a wider variety of genres online is important. Web series tend to be bunched into niches, and while that’s not a bad thing, it’s great to find one that fills out a different niche. So I hope they do manage to get a second season off the ground.
I gotta say, I also like that they’re not trying to reinvent the genre. Sometimes when people do something for the web, they feel like they have to change what works about the form to be ‘web edgy.’ Red Carpet Run just makes sure they’re making a great game show, period.
Do you know of any other web series game shows out there that I might have missed? If so, drop a link in the comments!
