MOOLT “I Thought I’d Seen It All”
Feel free to add me on facebook

This is no ordinary family. In this video Abo, Karo, and their parents Harut and Sophik go on a vacation to Hawaii. Check out what happens.

“If they had a good mother, they would not become prostitute.”
What?
What a strange video. I have no idea what it is about, but it sure did make me laugh!
This is a series that was actually sent to me. The only one so far. The first one was okay, but this one is really funny – if totally random. Sure, there’s no story, but I had no idea what was going to happen next – in a good way. It’s good and surprising character humour, unlike Happy Tree Friends where it is nothing but a string of ways to hurt cute critters. (Not that Happy Tree Friends isn’t funny.)
Moolt is nicely animated, too. I kinda forgot about them after that first video, and I’m glad I decided to go back and check out more.
So far – this is turning out to be a pretty good week! The Friday Night Playlist should be jam-packed!

Gym Shortz Ep. 1 “Wiping”
Welcome to Gym Shortz — an animated webseries of gym safety tips. Lesson 1: Wiping.
3 Swirlies
Super short cartoon about life at the gym. In sketch comedy, we would probably call this a black out. Essentially one gag and then moving on.
I like the dolphin bit. It was a nice touch.
What do you think of such short episodes? Do you like that you can hit play and be entertained inside of 1 minute? Or do you feel cheated because it probably took you longer to buffer the video than watch it?
I like the dolphin bit. It was a nice touch.

Parts 1 & 2:
The tales of a hapless super hero.
Happy Tree Friends is an institution, always good for a chuckle. One thing I like is their commitment to their story – everything that happens has consequences. Consequences that invariably involve a cute cartoon character revealing their internal organs.
The animation is great, but there’s rarely anything in the way of surprises. Cause you know that whatever is happening, it is going to blast, slice and otherwise pulverize the nearest character.

It is hard to make a gag in only 18 seconds, but this one didn’t grab me.
Still, as their YouTube logo says, Happy Tree Friends is YouTube’s Most Viewed Animation. If you like your Happy Tree Friends, here’s more for you to enjoy!

In this cartoon Abo tries to prank his brother Karo by dressing up as Lady Gaga and hiding in a cardboard box. He plans to jump out and sing Poker face when Karo gets home from work.

I’m excited! This is the first time anyone has actually sent me a video on YouTube.
Is it worth watching? Is it a hidden gem? Is it a fairly well known video that I’m embarrassing myself for never having heard of? Is it even a series? I have no idea. But I figured that i’m just lazy enough to write a post about it – sight as yet unseen – to encourage people to send me stuff instead of me having to hunt it all down.
Ready? Let’s watch!
“When Carlos comes home from work today, I will be inside a cardboard box, dressed as Lady Gaga. She gives Carlos night mares.”
This is some really nice, clean animation. Very nicely produced, with some good voice acting. It’s nice and short, and essentially one gag. There’s a few good jokes in there, mostly about Lady Gaga’s meat dress.
The gag is essentially an anti-climactic anti-joke kind of thing. I feel like this kind of thing is more funny to people telling the joke then the ones watching the joke. But still, I didn’t see it coming.
I’m undecided on whether this could be considered a series. I try to avoid sketch comedy on The Watch List. I try to focus on stuff with more continuity between episodes. But is this any different than Happy Tree Friends? I’ll post up a few more episodes and check back in with you guys.
In the meantime, don’t forget to buy yourself a new computer from Noro’s PC Repair!
And if you want to send me your web series, or let me know when there’s new episodes, please feel free!

Happy Tree Friends “Lumpy’s Lame Card Trick”
Lumpy needs a volunteer to help him with his card trick. Do you have the psychic ability to make him look like a real magician? Step right up, you won’t believe your eyes!
5 Swirlies!
Uh… wow. It’s an interactive episode.
Through the magic of YouTube annotations, you get to help Lumpy with a card trick. The mechanics behind the illusion are pretty easy if you think about it (and many commentators will helpfully explain it to you) but it is still fun and well done.
I also like that each of the six endings has its own unique fun visual gag after the trick is done. And yes, I did play the trick four times.
Super short, but very enjoyable! It’s nice to see Happy Tree Friends do something very different from the formula they have grown into. I’m giving it 5 Swirlies on the idea alone. But I don’t think it’ll end up in the Friday Playlist…

Happy Tree Friends – “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”

[NOTE: This is marked as under 5 minutes because of the length of each part. Taken together they are longer.]
Some Happy Tree Friends just grab me and some don’t. In this one, Sniffles pulls an “Increadible Journey” and shrinks a sub down to fight an infection. I love the angry viruses he comes across – and I chuckles at the gags when the sub’s timer ran out and he started growing while still inside the victim’s body.
But we take a long time to get there – the episode is posted in two parts. I find that Happy Tree Friends relies heavily on the gross factor – and where it underscores a good joke it works. When it is the joke, not so much.
What do you think? Am I being an old fuddy duddy? Is seeing chunks of brains enough to make you snort your milk?
Part two of the episode is below. Who’s making it easy for you? The Watcher, that’s who!

“Oh, eat a dick, ’44!”
omg! this episode is sooo meta!
In this episode, Dr. Tran answers a bizarre fan letter: “hay doctor tran, i was wondering do you HEV i time machine or i laser canon, and how much ice did you sell”. This episode is pretty funny, but kind of confusing because of all the meta stuff (shit? garbage? gags?) going on. I guess that was the point. I didn’t LOL like when I watched Ep. 6 (“Keith Cares”), but maybe I laughed a bit inside my head.
So, does Dr. Tran “HEV i time machine”? Does anybody know ???
One thing’s for sure — I am thankful that I don’t have a big mean voice intruding on my daily chores. But fanmail would be nice.

“All girls have a crush on Hotel Soap!”
Dr. Tran is visited by his “friend” Hotel Soap, who he (natch) has no memories of.
I like this one because it dips away from the formula of the other ones a bit, and Hotel Soap is a wacky, wacky idea. I just didn’t laugh as much as I would have liked. Having said that, this is still one of the cleverest series on the web, weird without being confusing. And it seems to be easily one of the most popular on the Watch List.
So enjoy! And keep an eye out for his little balls…
