Galactic tennis star Lindsay Austin arrives at Space Hospital to get some bionics to improve her game just as Nurse Ratknees robot-baby is taken away from her for testing. The fathers baby, Lenny the Lovable Robot, sues her for custody but in the meantime, robot-baby seems to be growing at an alarming rate.

Another funny episode. There’s a good gag after the opening credits about it being filmed before a live studio audience – complete with applause and audience reaction for their guest star. there’s also another funny bit pulling a Jamie Summers reference. The almost afterthought twists ending is pretty hilarious, too. I rarely actually laugh with joy and surprise while I watch things, but this show catches me out every time.

This series is barely contained chaos – but it works. I’m impressed with how they manage to set up and pay off such a tight story in less than 10 minutes. Granted this episode really features their guest characters, and doesn’t give much time to their recurring characters, but it still delivers!

The production isn’t perfect, but I’m still giving it 5 swirlies. I kinda like that they are just going for the difficult effects shots, even though they’re not 100% pulling them off.

It just makes me happy. Thanks Space Hospital!
