“Why I have so an hard feeling…?”

Nice twist on an internet stand by.

The gag here is an internet advice show starring a little kid who doesn’t want to have anything to do with it.

There’s not really too much to say about it. It’s pretty funny, and the central gag of Tran desperately trying to refuse to do the show gives the whole thing an emotional center to it that helps carry the piece. That being said, this one beat over and over also makes the show a tiny bit on the predictable side. (Hmm… am I putting too much thought into a funny cartoon?)

In this episode, Keith writes in to say he understands Tran, and Daniel asks about boners, prompting the perfectly over dramatic narrator to reveal a few of Tran’s embarrassing secrets.

Well animated (as always from Mondomedia), worth watching and (at least as importantly) nice and short.

Have any of you ever written into an internet advice show? Let us know about it!

    1. WOW, I love this little series, please don’t ruin it for me by saying “It’s predictable” OF COURSE IT IS! But it’s always funny to SEE WHAT NEW THING HAPPENS, of course we know it will end badly, but there’s always a NEW question and a NEW answer, we always learn something new about Tran, like how he gets a boner from petting an animal, or by rubbing vegetables. It’s something I look forward to everytime I hear a new one come up. I’m finished.

    2. Just a little clarification, I think we agree. I didn’t say the jokes or the situations were predictable – they are actually quite surprising. And I also didn’t say that the structure was predictable (the letters and the answers.) I only meant that Tran’s reactions will always be predictable, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

And yes, it is a great little series! I hope they do many more!

Thanks for your comment, and I hope you keep using The Watch List!

    3. OMG I love this series, I only recently just started watching it and instantly fell in love with it, especially the Time Machine episode, although, I don’t know how long it will take to make a new one, but this is SO random and funny, and always I am asking myself how a five year old boy can talk this fluently and do the stuff he does, then again, there is Stewie from Family Guy, lol, great series, great review.
